Aurora

The Aurora UFO incident, which occurred on April 17, 1897, is one of the earliest and most famous UFO sightings in American history. It took place near the small town of Aurora, Texas, when residents claimed to have witnessed a mysterious, cigar-shaped craft crash on a local farm. According to reports, the craft exploded, and the wreckage scattered across the area. Among the debris, a body of an alleged extraterrestrial being was discovered, described as small and humanoid. The townspeople allegedly gave the creature a proper burial in a nearby cemetery. The incident was reported on in the Dallas Morning News. A sign at the Aurora Cemetary mentions the event.
